     There are several kinds of methods for the grinding of mold components:

     (1) Plane lapping. Flat surface grinding is often encountered in the process of grinding work.

     (2) Spherical and circular arc surface grinding. For certain precision instruments and precision machinery parts, only when the requirement of the circular arc surface or a spherical precision is higher using lapping mode.

     (3) Cylindrical grinding. There are two kinds of grinding methods, one is the whole grinding sleeve, the other is adjustable grinding sleeve. High accuracy of the shaft parts usually use the overall set of grinding.

     (4) Inner hole grinding. There are two kinds of different grinding methods, one is manual grinding, the other is the machine tool grinding. It also has the overall grinding rod and adjustable grinding rod. The inner hole is required for a high degree of finish, generally uses the overall grinding rod for grinding.

     (5) Grinding of thread and thread ring gage. In order to improve the precision and the finish of the thread, after turning or grinding the thread needs to be milled again

     (6) Non metallic (graphite) grinding. When the graphite is used to grind the commonly used water as lubricant, so the choice of flat plate grinding often use a glass surface plate (flat surface to stick a layer of glass and then processing).

     (7) Plane polishing. If the precision of the parts is not high, it can be polished after grinding. If the parts of the surface with high accuracy, can be used sand plate to grind, can get excellent finish and high precision.

     In summary, because the mold components (especially non - standard mold parts) of the accuracy and surface finish have higher requirements, so whether it is in the plastic mold parts, or stamping die parts, grinding is essential.
