The core pins and sleeves is one of the main parts of the gear pump,which is installed at the two ends of the high speed gear to support the bearing.It must have enough strength and good wear resistance and in order to achieve this standard,let's see the characteristics of the heat treatment process of aluminum alloy core pins and sleeves.

1.Al-Sn eutectic overheating and adding tin to form Al-Sn eutectic of 99.5% tin, the melting point of 229 ℃. When the workpiece is heated to 515 ℃, the aluminum tin eutectic over-burning, quenching and cooling to form complex melt pellets. In the process of forming the remeltting pellets, on the one hand, the grain boundary is oxidized, the grain strength is decreased, and on the other hand, many micro voids are generated to increase the interfacial energy of the grain and reduce the strength of the metal, which is easy to use during use early failure.

2.The core pins and sleeves processing time are long, up to 16 hours, the production efficiency is low, and the energy consumption is great. From the metallographic observation and the mechanical performance test data, we can see that the treatment process of 250 C for 7 hours is ideal.

According to the investigation of YIZE MOULD,the heat treatment process of aluminum alloy core pins and sleeves has been formally put into production in 1996,and hundreds of thousands of core pins and sleeves have been produced,all of which are qualified.The work efficiency is 1.3 times higher. One year can save about 70 thousand yuan, and the electricity saving is over 80 thousand KW/h.
