    In the process of manufacturing, plastic mold parts polishing is a very important working procedure. It is related to the quality and service life of plastic mold parts.     1. Excessive polishing
    In the daily polishing process, one of the biggest problems is "excessive polishing". The longer the polishing time is, the worse the quality of mold surface will be. There are two kinds of phenomena of excessive polishing: "pitting" and "Orange peel". Excessive polishing often take place in mechanical polishing.
    2.The causes of the formation of "pitting" on the workpiece surface
    Due to some non-metallic impurities in the steel, usually hard and brittle oxide, they are pulled out from the steel surface in the polishing process, and then form a crater or pitting. The major factors in the production of the "pitting" have the following points:
    1)The polishing pressure is too much, and the polishing time is too long.
    2)Steel purity is not enough, and Hard impurity content is high.
    3)The surface of plastic mold parts rust.
    4)Black leather material is not clear away.
    3. The measures to eliminate the “pitting”
    1) Carefully grind the surface again.
    2) When the size of sand grain is less than 1 mm, it should avoid using the most soft polishing tools.
    3) Adopt the shortest polishing time and the smallest polishing strength as far as possible.
