    The surface treatment of plastic mold can improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the die surface.
    1, Chrome plating is one of the most widely used surface treatment method, and the chromium plating layer in the atmosphere has a strong passivation ability, can be a long time to maintain the metallic luster, in a variety of acid media are not chemical reaction. The hardness of the coating is 1000HV, which has excellent wear resistance. The chromium plating layer also has high heat resistance, and its appearance and hardness are still not changed when heated to 500 °C in the air.
    2, Nitriding has the advantages of low processing temperature (usually 550~570 °C), deformation is very small and the hardness is high (up to 1000~1200HV), which is also very suitable for the surface treatment of plastic mold. Contains elements of chromium, molybdenum, aluminum, vanadium and titanium alloy steel is better than that of carbon steel nitriding performance, for making plastic mould components, nitriding can greatly improve the wear resistance.
    The surface treatment methods for plastic mold are: nitrogen carbon co infiltration, electroless plating, ion plating titanium nitride, titanium carbide or titanium nitride, CVD, PVD method, hard film or ultra hard film, etc..
